Sony and Soul Sacrifice designer, Keiji Inafune, announced a release window for the game today.

“I’m trying to make a company where the developers feel more of a reward for making great products,” says Keiji Inafune.

All of the monsters you slay in Soul Sacrifice were once human. The Harpy was a woman of noble birth who fell in love with a fruit vendor. Everyday she stopped by and bought a bunch of fruit hoping to attract his attention.

Sony Computer Entertainment announced their Tokyo Game Show line up and these are the games attendees will be able to try.

“The way you choose to fight will affect your appearance,” says designer Keiji Inafune.

The Griffon was once a noble that lived a life of wealth, supported by heavy taxes exacted from the people and lands under his rule.

If you’re aren’t OK with giving up your eyes or spinal cord in Soul Sacrifice, you can make a weapon out of vegetation.

“I recommend the multiplayer mode where you can play with your friends or girlfriend. Because that’s when the emotions come out and everyone can feel the sacrifice,” said Keiji Inafune.

Nyume is a beautiful sorcerer who the hero meets in the story. All AI partner characters learn from the player and change their tactics based on the player’s decision.

“I wanted to incorporate an emotional aspect to a game and have players make hard decisions. In this game, it’s having to pay the price for the powers you get,” Keiji Inafune, CEO of Comcept.

“Let’s say you have a girlfriend and you want to protect her when she’s being attacked. You would go and try to save her,” Inafune said when we were talking abou Soul Sacrifice.

Before I jumped into the game, I watched an event scene shown from the eyes of my character. He was marked for death and with the last of his strength he crawled towards a fleshy book.

Today, Sony released a new E3 trailer for the multiplayer PlayStation Vita title.

A Sony Computer Entertainment representative confirmed the rumour today.
