Capcom is selling three versions of Street Fighter X Tekken for PlayStation Vita in Japan.
The game also has a casual mode where you swipe and tap with your fingers to perform attacks.
“As you mentioned, in the fighting game genre there are a lot of different companies coming out with new games every month. If we flip it and look at it, it means this is a hot genre.”
“We nerfed Ryu’s Hurricane Kick a bit by reducing the hit box and reduced the number of frames of advantage it has,” producer Tomoaki Ayano said.
Today, 12 new downloadable characters are available for Street Fighter X Tekken on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, along with alternate costumes for each of them.
“I strongly agree that we have not done a good job of truly teaching new players about the basics of fighting game strategy,” says Capcom’s Christian Svensson.
Street Fighter X Tekken director, Taisaku Okada, touches upon some of the moves and strengths of the four characters.
“Every game has data on it that is unused. In this case, Street Fighter X Tekken for the Xbox 360 did have the Mega Man and Pac-Man data on it. But, we never intended to release these characters on the 360.”
Capcom put out the third video in their ongoing series of Street Fighter X Tekken animated shorts.
Street Fighter X Tekken Vita lets you photograph the game’s fighters in real life settings.
The Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken has a release date.

While the 12 new Street Fighter X Tekken DLC characters were supposed to be released on the PlayStation Vita first, there’s been a change of plans.
