According to Mukaitoge, producer on Frontier Gate, Konami lost their RPG know how and they would have to start from scratch by hiring new staff.

Sorry, Suikoden fans. Konami isn’t announcing a new Suikoden game quite yet, but they do have a new Suikoden project in development.

In addition to bringing Tierkreis back into stores, Konami has a limited edition of the budget re-release.

A few days ago Konami registered a trademark for Genso Suikoden in North America. The last Suikoden trademark led to a brand new game, but I’m not sure this one will.

Suikoden Tierkreis is a fairly well executed, engaging and promising portable RPG. It has practically everything a player could want. The atmosphere and presense of the DS version may not have the same epic effect as the console Suikoden entries, but it is still a very good RPG.
