Last week, Sony released their own take on the hunting action genre, Soul Sacrifice, in Japan. Meanwhile, Namco Bandai released Tales of Hearts R.
Tales of Hearts R is out in Japan, which means its time to talk about Tales costumes. Players will be able to dress characters up in maid/butler uniforms, school clothes, idol, and what’s most interesting to me – other Tales characters
As usual, Namco Bandai prepared a lot of downloadable costumes for Tales of Hearts R. The first wave of DLC kicks off next week and players will be able to purchase Tales legacy costumes.
Namco Bandai plans on selling a bunch of costumes as downloadable content for Tales of Hearts R.
If you’re a Tales fan you probably recognize Hubert Oswell and Pascal. Both of these characters are from Tales of Graces f and also show up in Tales of Hearts R as battle arena guest characters.
The Tales series uses a battle system that draws inspiration from fighting games. In Tales of Hearts R you can actually use commands like QCF+square to do attacks.
Namco Bandai’s re-imagining of Tales of Hearts has a revised character growth system. Players can tweak characters by customizing a five point Soma Build.
Namco Bandai released a short clip showing character customization in Tales of Hearts R. Players can change costumes and equip attachments.
Hubert and Pascal from Tales of Graces f make a cameo in Tales of Hearts R. Instead of their usual attire, Pascal dresses in a Toro costume and Hubert is an a Kuro costume.
Beams, one of Japan’s hip t-shirt makers, partnered with Namco Bandai to make a couple of Tales of t-shirts.
Tales of Hearts R lets players change how characters look with costumes and attachments. If you played the Tales of Hearts R demo you’ll unlock swimsuits for the full game.
If you get a first print copy you’ll get Tales Of Hearts R: Infinite Evolve as a bonus. This 2D action RPG uses the sprites from the DS version of Tales of Hearts.
Leveling up all of your characters to 100 in a role playing game isn’t that unusual, but one dedicated Tales fan grinded his or her way up to level 100 in the Tales of Hearts R demo.
While they aren’t playable, Incarros and Richea are key characters in Tales of Hearts R. Richea resides in Amber’s heart. Shing will travel there to meet her.
