I don’t know why anyone would want to jump right into Tales of Xillia 2 without playing Tales of Xillia, but Namco Bandai will summarize the events for newcomers.

While we only get snippets from Time and Eternity: Toki Towa, Namco Bandai releases tons of footage from Tales of Xillia 2. The second trailer shows Link Arts and Ludger’s transformation where he can send enemies to another dimension.

Poor Ludger. Because he owes 20,000,000 gald, the protagonist in Tales of Xillia 2 is trapped. The GHS system keeps track of debtors and restrict what parts of Elenpios they can visit.

Tales of Xillia 2 uses the same engine as last year’s Tales of Xillia, but the high tech setting gives the game a completely different feel. Elenpios looks more like our world than the usual fantasy setting in Tales of titles.

Bizri, the president of the Clanspia Company, knows of the other world and wants Ludger to destroy it. When he enters the alternate dimension, Ludger can has to find and break time factors to escape.

Before we get to returning Tales of Xillia characters, let’s introduce Julius. He’s Ludger older brother and works in the Clanpios Company. Ludger and him live together along with a cat.

The first possible demo takes place in the Askold Food Factory. Ludger will sneak into Askold to free a captured spirit powering the facility.

Now 16 years old, Leia Rolando is supposed to be a little more grown up. Instead of a cheerful dress, Leia wears a business suit of sorts in Tales of Xillia 2 and she’s working as a reporter in Elenpios.
