Thinking about jumping into Tales of Xillia 2 without playing Tales of Xillia? I can’t say I would recommend that, but if you have a burning itch to feel like a hero then watch this digest movie.

In Japan, male players the female protagonist Milla Maxwell, while female players like Jude Mathis more. When Xillia begins, players can choose to start from either Jude or Milla’s perspective.

The original Tales of Xillia is headed out of Japan next year, and Namco have released the first English screenshots of the game.

“The most important thing is the Tales series is part of the JRPG genre so I want to create characters players can emphasize with and they will want to follow as the story continues.”

“I am always trying to find ways to assign staff members to work on a Western localized title as well as a new game for Japan when possible,” says producer, Hideo Baba.

Tales of Graces f has been out in North America for about a week and it appears Namco Bandai already has plans to localize the next game in the series.

Tales of Xillia has sold 760,000 copies in Japan as of December 2011, Namco Bandai shared in a report of their third fiscal quarter today.

“We had one goal when we decided to make the PS3 version [of Tales of Graces f]. We wanted to add something extra for our fans to enjoy, and give a deeper look into the story and gameplay.”
