Namco Bandai posted strong Tales of Xillia sales in their most recent financial report. The PlayStation 3 exclusive RPG sold 740,000 units since its launch on September 8.

Publishers stampeded Japan with a rush of new releases last week, including Dark Souls, Senran Kagura: Portrait of Girls, and Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection.

Namco Bandai’s successful Tales of Xillia gets another shipment.

Are they learning how to use the DR-LMBS system or did the cast of Tales of Xillia skip class to save the world?

As expected, Tales of Xillia debuted at the top of last week’s sales chart.

They’ve shipped 500,000 copies of the game already.

Tales of Xillia has two openings, one for Jude and another for Milla.

Add rabbit ears, giant glasses, and different color hats. If you want, you can dress the Tales of Xillia characters in ridiculous outfits and this video demonstrates how the accessory attachment system.

Star Driver costumes will be released on September 8, the same day the game launches, and will cost 500 yen each. If you want all six (one for each main character) those will set you back 3,000 yen.

First, this Tales of Xillia trailer shows what kind of combos the characters can do (Leia can give Kilik a run for his money) and then what kind of wacky headgear Jude can wear.

Rowen, one of the playable characters in Tales of Xillia, is a butler. And, if you want, you can dress him like a butler since Namco Bandai is planning on releasing butler costumes as paid downloadable content.

While portable RPGs tend to have a quick save slot, that trend hasn’t carried over to console RPGs. Tales of Xillia does, as revealed in Dengeki PlayStation.
