How To Unlock Tatsunoko vs. Capcom’s Secret Characters

By Spencer . December 16, 2008 . 6:52pm

The four Wii exclusive characters: Hakushon Daimaou, Saki Omokane, Ippatsuman, and Viewtiful Joe aren’t available when you start Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. They aren’t normally found in the store either. So, how can you unlock them?   To put Saki in the store you have to beat arcade mode with a character from the Capcom side. […]

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Sans A Classic Controller

By Spencer . December 12, 2008 . 4:40pm

Optional beginner controls are part of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and they aren’t as game breaking as the “easy operation” control scheme in Capcom vs. SNK 2: EO. They do, however, change the way Tatsunko vs. Capcom handles.     Let’s take Ryu as an example. One of his signature moves is throwing fireballs. The Wii […]

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Has Lots To Unlock

By Spencer . December 11, 2008 . 3:30pm

I just started Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes and you don’t get to play with Viewtiful Joe after you unwrap the game. The initial character select screen mirrors the arcade version and leaves Wii exclusive characters like Ippatsuman and Saki as unlockables. The extra characters aren’t even in the shop when you first […]

Someone inside Capcom must believe you can’t release a Wii game without motion controlled mini-games because the home version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes has tons of them. When you need a break from fighting you can practice throwing fireballs with Ryu, shoot asteroids with Saki and snap pictures of Viewtiful Joe. […]

Viewtiful Joe Smashing His Way Into Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom

By Spencer . November 3, 2008 . 11:10am

The list of characters in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom keeps getting better. At a Capcom event in Shinagawa three more fighters were revealed including Viewtiful Joe! Judging by this screenshot Joe appears to have his VFX powers too. Slow motion or hyper speed fighting would be an interesting twist, but would it give Joe too much […]

Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: The Arcade Stick

By Spencer . October 24, 2008 . 4:12am

The classic controller felt fine when I played Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes at Tokyo Game Show, but if you want a more arcade like experience Exar has you covered. Their Tatsunoko vs. Capcom arcade stick is scheduled to come out on the same day as the Wii port for 5,980 yen ($65). […]
