Aquaplus has big plans for PlayStation 3. Famitsu announced sequels for the Tears to Tiara and Utawarerumono series and both are in development for PS3.

Aquaplus is the latest company infected by the Dissidia bug. Symptoms include reusing RPG characters from past works for a mashup fighting game.

Aquaplus released a trailer for Tears to Tiara Gaiden: Mystery of Avalon that’s heavy on gameplay. Just like Tears to Tiara: Wreath of the Earth this title is also PlayStation 3 strategy RPG.

Aquaplus cut out the naughty bits and brought Tears to Tiara, an eroge game, to the PlayStation 3 last year. The game must have performed well since Tears to Tiara Gaiden: Mystery of Avalon is slated to come out on September 17.

My first thought was “wow, these combat scenes look sweet”. My second was, “I can’t believe how much this game has changed.” While Tears to Tiara is a PlayStation 3 game, its origins are a PC game.
