Final Fantasy III on PSP didn’t sell very many copies at all, when it released in Japan last week.
Originally, the “mushroom battle” mode didn’t have a Nintendo theme. The Tekken team was playing with the concept of character scale while developing Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
The Kabuto version of the game sold through 40.11% of its shipment, while the Kuwagata version’s sell-through was 41.67%.
Last week saw the release of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in Japan, along with Medabots 7 and Samurai Warriors Chronicles 2nd.
“We foresee a lot of players new to the series will join this installment. It does make it easier for novices because you can just push a shortcut to execute commands,” said Katsuhiro Harada to a small group of press.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition adds a touch of Nintendo to Namco Bandai’s fighting game. Mushroom Battle mode has different powerups on the battlefield like Super Mushrooms and Mega Mushrooms that make fighters grow.
Nintendo of Japan gave a roadmap of what to expect from Wii U. At launch, you’ll have Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, New Super Mario Bros. U, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition is slated for release on December 8 as a Wii U launch title in Japan. This version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has a mushroom battle mode with special items like a mega mushroom that makes your character huge.
With moves like juggles and bounds, there is a lot to learn in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 if you haven’t touched the series since the PS2 launch title Tekken Tag Tournament. Fight Lab mode teaches players the basics while they rebuild Combot.
Kunimitsu is the final Tekken Tag Tournament 2 pre-order DLC character.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 already has a huge roster with over 40 characters unlocked when you turn the game on. Pre-orderers get early access to four more characters: Ancient Ogre, Michelle, Kunimitsu, and Angel.
Julia isn’t in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, but her mom is.
Level Up Your Games and Namco Bandai have released a pair of two more tutorial videos for Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
Namco put together a compilation of combos from the game, demonstrated by pro gamers.
