While new IPs are flocking to Vita, PSP is still going strong with a new entry in the Suikoden series and another Vitamin X game.
Soulcalibur V and NeverDead make worldwide debuts this week.
Tales of Innocence R makes its debut this week as a PlayStation Vita game with new characters and dungeons. Resident Evil: Revelations and Armored Core V will launch alongside it in Japan.
Sega’s non-Vocaloid music game Rhythm Thief comes out alongside Beyond the Labyrinth from tri-Ace and a quirky listening game for Wii called Kiki Trick.
Japan’s first retail releases for 2012 include Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble (better known as Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy overseas), a port of Time Leap and a new Super Robot Taisen OG Saga title.
Developer tri-Ace hopes fans (maybe not clad in armor) will run to stores and purchase their first game with Konami.
Twenty games will launch with PlayStation Vita on December 17, including Uncharted: Golden Abyss. According to Famitsu, that’s Japan’s most wanted game for the system.
Monster Hunter 3G launches in Japan this week, on Saturday away from other titles like Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi.
Actual imports are slim, but there is Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. for PS3.
Imageepoch’s 7th Dragon series returns with a game set in the not so distant future where space dragons ruined Tokyo.
Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and its limited edition Magical Gold PlayStation 3 go on sale this week.
Hatsune Miku returns to the sales charts with a 2.5 version. Project Diva Extend adds more songs and modules to the top selling PSP series.
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception comes out worldwide while Nintendo brings out one of its big guns for the 3DS.
The hotly anticipated PSP game has a darker tone than previous Final Fantasy titles and should be lengthy since its one of the few titles to ship on two UMDs.
