Amidst a slow week for new releases, a bunch of older titles saw a significant sales bump.

It’s Nintendo’s long tail game of 2009. Since June 18, Tomodachi Collection sold over 1,000,000 copies in Japan alone.

Nintendo’s portable Mii playground, Tomodachi Collection, came out in Japan today and not much is known about it. Thanks to a demo on Japan’s Nintendo channel I got to try the game out.

With only a few weeks until Tomodachi Collection comes out in Japan Nintendo started spilling details. On the surface the DS game feels like a mix of The Sims and Animal Crossing.
