Remember the Wii no Ma channel? Nintendo updated it with a streaming video service in the Theater Room and soon it’s going to have a Music Room too.
In addition to the free-to-watch TV and hustling houseplant, the Wii no Ma channel now includes a theater room.
Users will be able to watch feature films like the “Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and Kirby episodes in the new Theater no Ma (Theater Room) area.
Beyond Wii no Ma, Nintendo may have other services in mind like books or manga on demand. Nintendo trademarked a batch of “no Ma” titles in Japan.
So, Nintendo launched Wii no Ma (Wii’s Room) channel in Japan. The service lets users watch free, corporate sponsored videos and download coupons to a Nintendo DSi from a magical house plant.
Nintendo’s streaming video and coupon dispensing houseplant program, Wii no Ma (Wii’s Room), launched in Japan today. I downloaded it and after I set up my room drama star Tokito Saburo automatically stopped by to visit.
Alone the Wii no Ma channel and the Nintendo DSi are decent enough. Together they have the potential to be awesome.
