The old school dungeon crawler is now coming to Android with a May 21 release date, at least in Japan.

“Wizardry was another one of those surprisingly good sales games when we released it on PSN. People really enjoyed playing it,” producer Luke Rideout said to Siliconera.

Acquire’s Wizardry: Labyrinth of Souls will be released next week for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The initial download is free, but users are can only explore the first floor and all characters are capped at level 5.

Acquire is making a portable version of Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls. You’ll be able to dive into dungeons this week when the game is available on Japan’s iTunes store.

Each race has a different set of base attributes. Dwarfs start out with high strength and vitality. Gnomes are blessed with high piety, but low physical strength, which make them the perfect priests.
