“I ate my friend today. What else was I supposed to do? I was starving,” an Xseed trailer starts. OK then!
Is this a teaser for Xseed’s mysterious PSP horror game?
Today, we’re going to delve into the future of Xseed. Ken Berry, Director of Publishing at Xseed, discusses relationships with other companies like Rodea the Sky Solider developer Kadokawa Games and branching out to other platforms.
In this interview, Ken Berry, Director of Publishing at Xseed, talks about the publisher’s plans for Solatorobo: Red the Hunter, their relationship with Falcom, and why they brought Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls overseas.
“You know, they’ve actually gone in and localized everything themselves, which is new for them,” Berry explained.
As we mentioned earlier, Xseed is working on another PSP game and it isn’t tied to Falcom. That could be… anything. Let’s narrow it down, shall we?
With Wizardry: Labyrinth of the Lost Souls out now and The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter floating in the future, what is Xseed working on now?
Since we know there are Falcom fans here, we asked readers to submit questions, which we brought to Toshihiro Kondo. While Trails in the Sky was the focus, we also talked about bringing PSP games from Japan overseas, Steam, and their upcoming NGP title.
Because Xseed isn’t attending the video game spectacle this year.
Savvy Siliconera readers are aware AQ Interactive is Xseed’s parent company. Being at the center of the merger I asked Ken Berry, Director of Publishing, if Xseed had a statement. Here’s what I received in an e-mail.
Atlus, Aksys, and NIS America already announced games for the Nintendo 3DS. Xseed hasn’t outlined any plans, but they are looking into games for the system.
Since I’m sure *some* readers are playing through Trails in the Sky right now I want to open the floor for reader questions for an upcoming Falcom interview.
At last, a Wizardry game is leaving Japan. Xseed is localizing Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, a PlayStation 3 dungeon crawler, for North America.
Preparing for the North American release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Xseed sent over a batch of screenshots and this trailer.
Xseed translated and localized 1.5 million Japanese characters for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Which parts raised the brow of the ESRB?
Another chance to grab the Ys cloth map, calendar or soundtrack CDs.
