Level 5 have released a brand new trailer for Youkai Watch, their upcoming 3DS RPG.

Level-5 just announced Youkai Watch will be available on July 11 in Japan. At launch, the Nintendo 3DS game will have a neat bonus. First print copies of Youkai Watch come with a Jibanyan mascot figure.

CoroCoro magazine has announced release dates for two of Level 5’s upcoming Nintendo 3DS games.

Youkai Watch from Level-5 lets players bring three different monsters into battle. One unique command is players can pinpoint attacks with the stylus using the “Aim” command.

Level-5′s next mixed media project is about a boy who lives in a world with monsters. Not the fierce Shin Megami Tensei type of monsters, but friendly monsters from Japanese folklore.

At their Nintendo Direct presentation today, Nintendo showed off a new trailer for Level 5’s Youkai Watch RPG for the Nintendo 3DS.

Youkai Watch takes place in Sakura New Town and stars a protagonist named Keta, who can track down youkai with the help of his watch.

Keita Amano, an eleven year old boy, is the main character. Whisper (a ghost-like creature) and Jibanyan (“nya” is like “meow” in Japanese) join him. Keita’s watch helps him find youkai when he looks around town.
