Falcom and Softbank Creative put together 25 years of Ys artwork into one giant art book. Ys The Art Book has 280 pages of artwork covering fourteen different games all the way up to Ys Memories of Celceta for PlayStation Vita.

Ys I & II Chronicles+ for PC will be released on February 14th via Steam, Xseed have announced. [Update: Trailer added.]

Xseed and Falcom are bumping on to Steam again with Ys I&II Chronicles+. What’s new in the PC version? A product page on Steam says the PC version will have Steam Cloud support, leaderboards, and high resolution graphics with a smooth framerate.

Ys I&II Chronicles+ includes Ancient Ys Vanished: Omen and Ancient Ys Vanished: The Final Chapter.

Falcom announced the will re-release Ys Origin, Ys I&II Chronicle, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, and Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim for Windows 8 on March 22.

JDK Band is rearranging the music for Ys I&II Chronicles. This clip gives us a sample of the songs with a rearranged version of “To Make The End of the Battle”. Other developers take note: more RPGs should use rock music.

A batch of media came with the release dates for Ys Chronicles I & II and Ys Seven. Neither game has been confirmed for North America, but Ys Chronicles I & II might be marginally easier for importers to pick up.
