Falcom announced the will re-release Ys Origin, Ys I&II Chronicle, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, and Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim for Windows 8 on March 22.

I was surprised by how well the mouse and keyboard controls go together in Ys: The Oath in Felghana. I actually found it more comfortable than using a controller.

While most Ys games follow Adol and Dogi, Ys Origin takes place before their adventures. As a prequel to the entire series, Ys Origin takes place 700 years before the events in Ys I and focuses on the Black Pearl.

Xseed aren’t done yet with off-the-wall promotions for Oath in Felghana.

While Ys: Oath in Felghana is proud of its difficulty, it’s never unfair and the effort put into the game is tremendous.

Before firing up Ys: The Oath in Felghana, I plugged in my Super Nintendo and played through the opening of Ys III: Wanderers From Ys. As you may recall, The Oath in Felghana is a re-imagining of Wanderers From Ys.

Ys: The Oath in Felghana just went gold, which means its ready for mass production.

Ys: The Oath in Felghana isn’t too far away. While we don’t have an exact release date, Xseed plans on publishing the re-imagining of Ys III: Wanderers from Ys in early November.

For a silent hero, Adol has talkative friends. Ys: The Oath in Felghana has over 1,900 lines of voice acting.

We hope you’re done or at least halfway through Ys Seven by now. Why? Because there’s another Ys game coming to the PSP soon.
