Curious about what’s next for the Ys series, I asked Toshihiro Kondo, President of Nihon Falcom, about future plans for Ys.
Falcom is the latest developer to bring one of their franchises to GREE, a social network service designed for mobile phones in Japan. Ys Nexus was announced for the platform and it’s an extension of the Ys universe.
Nippon Ichi and Falcom teamed up to bring characters from Ys, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, and The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki into their retro dungeon crawler sequel ClaDun 2.
Nippon Ichi releases are one step closer to being synonymous with “crossover.”
No words quite express the satisfaction I feel in just weaving willy-nilly through a field, decimating all who stand before me without a single pause.
Oh, and Ys: The Oath in Felghana is now up on the European PlayStation Network.
The bump ‘n grind gameplay from the 80s lives on the PSP. On February 22, Ys I & II Chronicles will arrive on PSP with revised graphics, rearranged music, and a new translation from Xseed.
That’s how Xseed describes Ys Seven.
Xseed aren’t done yet with off-the-wall promotions for Oath in Felghana.
