Nippon Ichi Software’s next role playing game doesn’t have anything to do with the Netherworld or penguins with peg legs. OK, it has an Asagi cameo in it.

Zillions of Enemy X’s battle system revolves around using a device that keeps sealed ZX within cards. By using the cards in your hand, you can command ZXes to fight opponents and even capture enemies by turning them into cards.

Zillions of Enemy X takes place in the near-future post-apocalyptic Earth, where invaders known as ZX are pouring through the gates and ravaging the planet.

ZX, invaders that poured out of gates that appeared around the world, can be defeated with the help of an item called the “device.” Kaga, a 19 year old man from Tokyo, makes a living selling the device on the black market.

Players will fight the ZX using a “device” which is highly regulated item. Devices are worth even more if they’re blank. These devices are used in the game’s card battle system which lets players summon ZX by spending SP.

Zillions of Enemy X starts In the year 201X when gates to another world suddenly appears all over the world. Strange looking creatures come out of the gates called Zecks and these invaders ravage Earth.

Zillions of Enemy X will be available for PlayStation 3 on May 23, according to Dengeki PlayStation.
