10% Off Monster Hunter: World Digital Standard & Deluxe as Game Unlocks

PlayStation 4 gamers excited about Monster Hunter: World are in luck this week as you can pick up a quick discount on the game – which has now unlocked worldwide as of writing (the game is playable at 12:01 AM). If you haven’t pre-loaded or pre-order yet, given the official release date is Friday morning, you can still scoop up a 10% discount on the digital PSN copy from authorized retailer Green Man Gaming (who’s sourcing the key straight from Sony).

After purchasing at GMG, you’ll immediately receive your PSN key which you can then add to your PSN account.

Deals on Monster Hunter: World List % Off Sale Price
Monster Hunter: World (PS4) $59.99 10% $53.99
Monster Hunter: World – Digital Deluxe Ed. (PS4) $69.99 10% $62.99
Monster Hunter World + Steelcase (PS4, Xbox One) $59.99 0% $59.99

Picking up the pricier Deluxe Edition which clocks in for another $9 will get you the Samurai Set, three additional gestures (Zen, Ninja Star, Sumo Slap), two sticker sets, one additional face paint, one additional hairstyle, and finally 14 special avatars. As they are all cosmetic bonuses in nature without any additional story or gameplay content, we’d probably advise against picking this up.

As far as we can tell, the deals for the PSN key at GMG is available to North America customers only. If you don’t want to deal with the hassle of registering at another retailer, you can try coupon code FA5C4B2BJK on PSN for a similar 10% off – the caveat is that you’ll have to wait for official release date on Friday (YMMV as the coupon terms doesn’t spell out if new releases are part of the excluded items). Download size is 14.3 GB, so no matter which route you go – if you want to play tonight, you’ll have to act fast.

For those who prefer a physical copy, Best Buy is still as of writing offering a free bonus Steelbook case cover as a pre-order bonus for the physical PS4 or Xbox One copy. As far as we can tell, other retailers are only offering the standard digital pre-order bonus items and no other bonus items – so Best Buy is probably the best place to pick-up a copy (especially if you have GCU).
