Aksys Games put the rumors about Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth’s release to rest today with an official announcement that Hoshigami Remix is scheduled for release in summer 2007. Hoshigami is an SRPG originally released for the PS1 and now it’s coming out for the Nintendo DS with new characters, missions, and new localization. Hoshigami Remix has lets players control their army using the stylus and set the difficulty between three levels. Just in case you never played the PS1 game here is a little bit of the story:
On the floating continent of Mardias, a war has broken out between the Kingdoms of Valaim and Nightweld that threatens to upset the balance of power in the land. Our hero, Fazz, and his ragtag band of mercenaries are thrust into the fight and are hired to protect one of the Ruins of Ixia from the Valamian forces. Unbeknownst to them, an insidious evil begins to rise from the shadows… Will Fazz be able to stop it before Mardias destroyed?
