Make a party of monsters in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World

Recommended Videos

Don’t like Raine, Regal, Richter or any of the characters in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of a New World? Don’t use them. You can form a battle party comprised mostly of monsters and bright eyed protagonist Emil leading them to victory. After battle you have a chance to make pacts with monsters that can reinforce your party. Conflicting factors like other allied monsters may prevent a partnership, but you can get some monsters on in your party.

The screenshot above shows Emil with a Chimera, the yellow cat in the second position, a Mandragora, the green plant creature doing nothing in the top right, and the Undertaker, the purple reaper hovering over Emil. There are more than 200 monsters to collect. Gotta’ catch them all?

Not exactly. Monsters can evolve if you feed them the right dish, which makes cooking an even more important skill in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World than it was in the previous game.
