Xbox Community Games Coming To Japan

We have them, a good portion of Xbox 360 supported regions around the world have them, but for whatever reason Japan doesn’t have Community Games. In the first half of 2009 Xbox 360 owners in Japan will be able to download stuff like Biology Battle and virtual fireplaces.

Like I said before we already have Community Games, but seeing Japan start the Community Games service could be exciting news. This opens the floodgates for doujin console games. Imagine being able to play one of Team Shanghai Alice’s shooters without having to fly to Japan to dig around for a disc. No specific titles have been announced, but there is already some neat XNA stuff out there like Irritate UFO (pictured) and Mazer Mayhem from ABA Games.
