Facebook Uploading Now Works With Japanese DSis

Nintendo completed an optional firmware update, which lets DSi camera users upload photos directly to Facebook.

As long as your Nintendo DSi is connected to a wireless network you can post photos to your Facebook account. All you need to do is select a photo from the Nintendo DSi camera channel, click on the “F” icon, login in, and upload. The program creates an album called Nintendo DSi’s Photos to put your pictures in.

I tried it and it’s a snap to use.

I didn’t expect to see this feature appear in Japan first or at all. Nintendo announced Facebook uploading at E3, but Facebook isn’t big in Japan. Mixi is their social networking platform of choice. I’m glad I was wrong. Now, DSi importers that are also Facebook fiends finally have an easy way to upload Mario hat pictures.
