Atlus Working On Another High School RPG

Despite the scan mentioning Persona, this game has nothing to do with Persona or Shin Megami Tensei. Tokyo Mono Hara Shi is related to the “Juvenile Gauken” or Tokyo Majin series, which Atlus seems to have picked up. Previous games were published by Marvelous and this will be the first Tokyo Majin game for the PSP.

Aside from the publisher, Tokyo Mono Hara Shi shares something in common with Persona. The story centers around cursed hanafuda cards. The sealed cards are the center of the game’s mystery and its up to a group of high school students to solve it. The game is an “adventure RPG” and the “adventure” part means it will have a lot of text. Other examples of “adventure games” include Infinte Loop and Idea Factory’s Otomate collection.

Tokyo Mono Hara Shi is due in stores this spring.
