Manga Artists And Game Designers Contributing To WarioWare D.I.Y. DLC

WarioWare D.I.Y. uses a special kind of DS cartridge known as a NAND card. The NAND card allows for larger save files and faster loading — a feature the SPD1 team at Nintendo felt was necessary in order to facilitate user-created micro-games and a regular stream of downloadable content. The content itself is very interesting. In addition to games created by other users — all judged by Nintendo employees — that are deemed good enough to be added to the portfolio, a separate category titled “Big Name Games” will include micro-games created by well-known people. Satoru Iwata, Shigeru Miyamoto, Masahiro Sakurai and Yoshio Sakamoto are already contributing. Here’s a screenshot of Sakamoto’s
Metroid-themed game.

In addition to this, five professional manga artists will also be providing downloadable comic strips for WarioWare D.I.Y.
