Nier is just a week away, which means copies are on their way to retailers and the team is taking a break.
That statement is only partially right.
Nier executive producer Yosuke Saito is still cracking the whip since the development team is creating downloadable content. “In fact, this title has distribution plans for downloadable content, work began immediately after completing the main story… how should I say it, we’re just making it now,” Saito said in a Let’s Start! RPG interview. “I don’t have the feeling of being finished. (haha)”
No word on what the downloadable content is, though. A Nier Replicant skin and story patch would fit the bill nicely, but the team wouldn’t have to spend too much time on that. Since the team is actually making something an extra chapter or new playable character are pie in the sky possibilities.
