Lord Of Apocalypse Is The Same Price For PSP And PlayStation Vita

Defying all odds, Square Enix and Deadly Premonition developer Access Games are working on a Lord of Arcana sequel. Lord of Apocalypse will be released for PSP and PlayStation Vita. While the surprise sequel will be available on two Sony handhelds, each retail version will be sold separately.

Lord of Apocalypse will cost 5,980 yen ($77) for either a UMD disc or PlayStation Vita card. A PlayStation Network downloadable version is 4,980 yen ($65) for either system. Each will be sold separately since Square Enix specifies the Vita and PSP versions are the same price. Reserve the game and you’ll receive a card to use with the game’s arcade counterpart, Lord of Vermillion Re:2.

PlayStation Vita is backwards compatible with PSN releases, but it isn’t clear what, if anything, is different between the PSP and Vita versions. Square Enix only showcased Lord of Apocalypse for PlayStation Vita at Tokyo Game Show. Lord of Apocalypse will be a Vita launch title and debut on December 17.
