Capcom USA: “North American Retailers Not Supportive Of Packaged PC Goods”

Recommended Videos

Capcom’s recent PC releases have been digital-only. Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City will be the same, at least in North America.

Capcom USA’s Senior Vice-President, Christian Svensson, writes on the company’s forums: “There’s a PC version coming. For North America though, like all recent Capcom PC titles, it will be digital release only, so you’re not going to see listings at traditional retailers for it.”

“North American retailers have not been supportive of packaged goods and the digital sales on PC for us have long since been the lion’s share of sales anyway,” Svensson explains.

“Europe I believe will have packaged goods though,” he adds.
