Final Fantasy XIII-2 Was One Of February’s Best-Sellers In North America

Recommended Videos

January’s sales data for North America didn’t include Final Fantasy XIII-2 because the game released at the very end of the month, after the tracking period for January had already ended. Instead, we see XIII-2 in the software sales chart for February. Square Enix’s RPG took the #2 spot, although #1 still belongs to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Soulcalibur V made it into the top-10 as well, at the #7 position, as did the new Twisted Metal for PlayStation 3 at #9.

The complete top-20 chart for the period covering January 29th – February 25th was as follows:

Rank Title System Publisher
01. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 PS3, 360, Wii, PC Activision Blizzard
02. Final Fantasy XIII-2 PS3, 360 Square Enix
03. UFC Undisputed 3 PS3, 360, THQ
04. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning PS3, 360, PC Electronic Arts
05. Just Dance 3 PS3, 360, Wii Ubisoft
06. NBA 2K12 PS3, 360, Wii, PC, PSP, PS2 Take Two
07. Soul Calibur V PS3, Xbox 360 Namco Bandai
08. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim PS3, 360, PC Bethesda Softworks
09. Twisted Metal PS3 Sony
10. Battlefield 3 PS3, 360, PC Electronic Arts

Food for thought:

1. While they weren’t in the top-10, Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land each sold over 100,000 copies in February. They’re now at 1.85 million and 1.45 million respectively, in North America.

2. The PlayStation Vita launched on February 22nd, three days before the tracking period for Feb ended. While it isn’t in the top-10, Uncharted: Golden Abyss was present in the top-20, and was the best-selling Vita game for the month.

2. Hopefully, we’ll get to find out how Resident Evil: Revelations did at some point, too.
