Daisuke Amaya, the creator of Cave Story, has been working on a side scrolling game where you play as a pixilated frog who shoots through levels after his cat girlfriend is captured by aliens. Gero Blaster was revealed at BitSummit with a trailer and announced as an iOS title.

Tyrone Rodriguez from Nicalis teased that Gero Blaster was also in development for Nintendo 3DS and tweeted a photo of the game running on a 3DS XL.
Nicalis also released Studio Pixel’s other titles like Cave Story and Ikachan as downloadable games for WiiWare and 3DS.
