Imageepoch’s Black Rock Shooter: The Game for PSP isn’t cancelled. It’s still coming to the U.S. and Europe, and it’s coming soon—in a few weeks, in fact.

NIS America announced this afternoon that Black Rock Shooter: The Game will be released on April 23rd (April 24th in Europe) as a download title via the PlayStation Network. Here’s a summary of the story:

2032 AD – Earth has been ruthlessly assaulted by extraterrestrials, and nineteen years of nonstop battle now threatens the very existence of humanity. The last hope for human survival is BRS, a heroine created solely to save planet Earth; she is the ultimate battle android. But when she is awakened to end the battle once and for all, there are only twelve human beings left on Earth…

We covered Black Rock Shooter: The Game a fair bit prior to the release of the Japanese version. You can catch up with our coverage by using the Black Rock Shooter tag. A second trailer is viewable below, followed by screenshots.

Note that Black Rock Shooter: The Game will not be available on PSN in Canada, Mexico, and select countries in Europe due to licensing and copyright restrictions.
