Most of the games in the Guild series have been released in the West. We’re just missing Weapon Shop de Omasse, which puts you in the blacksmith boots of a weapon shop owner.
"We need to consider the high pedigree of translation required, and the time and money needed to do that with this amount of text may surprise you. Another factor we need to consider is whether or not a large enough audience outside of Japan would appreciate a game that relies so heavily on knowledge of Japanese culture," a Level-5 representative said to Siliconera when we asked why Weapon Shop de Omasse wasn’t localized.
It looks like Level-5 had a change of heart because Weapon Shop de Omasse will be localized after all. The 3DS game was rated by Australia’s Classification Board.
I wonder how the game will be localized since Weapon Shop de Omasse was the brainchild of Japanese comedian Yoshiyuki Hirai.
