Similar to the DLC from Dark Souls, Dark Souls II’s upcoming series of DLC will include entire stages, with the first one starting out at the Black Gulch, the entrance to the new area where you’ll then be able to fight new enemies and acquire new weapons.

The new area is filled with traps, gradually rising pillars you’ll be traveling on, and NPC phantoms. Exactly what awaits just before the dead body of the knight?

Dark Souls II’s Crown of the Sunken King DLC will release on July 22, 2014.
