“Shocking” New Pokémon Project To Be Announced Next Tuesday

Recommended Videos

A “shocking” new Pokémon project will be announced in Japan next Tuesday, August 26th, in collaboration with Famitsu magazine, The Pokémon Company said today.

The new project will be revealed via a Nico Nico Livestream event called “Famitsu Featuring Pokémon Special,” and Tsunekazu Ishihara, the president of The Pokémon Company, will be at the event.

You’ll be able to watch the stream on this page. It will take place on August 26th at 10 pm JST (which converts to 6 am PST).

Food for thought:

1. Since Pokémon is such a vast multimedia franchise, this could be for something other than a game. That said, there is that unresolved matter of Pokkén Fighters

2. Alternatively, this could be the Pikachu detective game, since that was never “formally” announced, aside from the brief sneak peek on TV last year.
