The Importance Of Etrian Odyssey Untold II’s Cooking System

Recommended Videos

One of the new features in Etrian Odyssey Untold II: The Knight of Fafnir is its cooking system, but instead of using it just to fill your party’s belly, it also has other important uses such as making money and expanding the town. Atlus shares more with their latest videos.

Grimoires are special crystals that grant you the powers of skills that can be used in combat. You’ll see a “Grimoire Chance!” notice when the moment comes for you to be able to use them. They come in different varieties like “Passive,” “Active,” and “Enemy”.

For example, when the Grimoire Chance for “Active” goes up, if you use an Active-type skill, then a Grimoire of that skill will have a higher chance of becoming created.

As you advance through the game, there will also be some that will let you use enemy skills, including FOE and other boss skills. Not all of them will be obtainable, but you can check the monster database to see if you can acquire a monster’s skills.

Next up, is a look at the cooking system in Etrian Odyssey Untold II. You’ll get to use various ingredients to cook up meals a the Guild House. The ingredients can be found out in the dungeons or by defeating certain monsters.

The recipe varieties come in three varieties of what appears to be “Japanese,” “Western,” and “Chinese” style foods. By confirming what they need and using ingredients, you’ll get to make legendary foods of up to 70 different varieties. Some of them will also have special effects.

Finally, the last video shows more town development and how you make money using the food you create. Not only can you use the food you make on yourself, but there are all kinds of food requests from people in different districts with different tastes.

By selling food to those who have a taste for it, an extra bonus effect will occur, but it can also have negative effects if you sell them things they don’t like. You can also expand on certain parts of towns, so the number of people living there increases, which also improves food sales.
