Recommended Videos

Last week, we got a look at Tetsuya Nomura’s collaboration work for the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku, which is currently showcased at an art exhibition in New York. He talks more about a game collaboration possibility in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

During the interview, Nomura talks about his latest Hatsune Miku collaboration and, regarding a videogame, says that “the possibility is there,” and that he’s thinking about working together with Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto to brainstorm various developments on this front.

He emphasizes that if they were to do a collaboration, it would be up to Vocaloid producers Crypton Future Media to decide,  and if they were satisfied with the recent drawing and CG animation, then there should be room for various plans.

Nomura also briefly discussed upcoming events, mentioning that he will be busy with various plans that will keep him busy up until 2019. He’s also working on several projects that will be announced the year after next.

“This time, [the Hatsune Miku collaboration] was announced as work that I personally accepted, but I hope the next one will be for a game announcement,” said Nomura.
