Mistwalker has updated strategy-RPG Terra Battle on iOS and Android. It adds a new chapter as well as new features that were unlocked in the game’s Download Starter campaign.
First of this Download Starter content is new music from Yasunori Mitsuda who is known for composing the soundtrack to Chrono Trigger. Second is a new Daily Quest called Hedgehog Hullabaloo, which features character designs from Naoto Ohshima, the artist who designed the look Sonic the Hedgehog.
Also in this update comes a new Quick Match mode for Co-op Battle. “A random Quest can be played with 0 Stamina,” Mistwalker notes. “Eidolons and Items will drop normally but Coins and Experience will be less compared to normal Co-op Battles.”
There are also new characters including popular “Descended Monsters,” with Bahamut, Leviathan, and Odin making a return with new Z-Class forms. Other rare monsters such as Marilith and Lich will also be eligible for Recode DNA. The update also brings new level and skill boosts to Pacts of Truth and Fellowship that will be marked by a plus sign.
Mistwalker also notes the following changes in this latest update: “Magic Bomb used by Lewto Λ, Piz’fer Λ, Jennish Λ, and Zerro Λ adjusted to have a larger area of effect. – Probability of Fire used by Lewto Λ adjusted from 30% to 50%.”
Finally, the Terra Battle Art Book has now gone on sale in Japan with works by the game’s character designer and artist Kimihiko Fujisaka. A western release date for the Art Book will be announced at a later date.
