Characters From The Tales Series To Join In On Sword Art Online: Code Register

Bandai Namco revealed some of the latest for their smartphone game Sword Art Online: Code Register during the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival 2015 today, with a look at a new character and collaboration with the Tales series.

First is a look at the new character for Sword Art Online: Code Register with Lyn & Gigappe (リン&ギガッペ,) shown in the above image. Kirito voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka had the honor to give the names, and decided with “Lyn” as the name of the girl, and “Gigappe” for the familiar on her head, attached like a hairclip.

 

2015-10-03_222901 They’re also having a popularity poll out of the game’s 27 original characters, with the final three shown in the above image. The winner will feature an upcoming original event.

As for the Tales collaboration, it’ll be with the series’ smartphone title Tales of Link, which has its own original characters like Sara, Shiza, Lippi, and Leone, but it also has plenty of guests like Asbel, Judith, and more.

The collaboration will bring various events and illustrations to the game, in addition to special characters like the outfit swap version characters shown in the above image with Milla Maxwell from the Xillia games and Sword Art Online heroine Asuna.

 

The Sword Art Online: Code Register collaboration campaign with Tales of Link will launch sometime this November in Japan.
