Capcom announced today that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has topped the four million total worldwide shipments mark.

According to Capcom’s press release, the number of fans has increased steadily since the first Monster Hunter title made its debut in 2004. The series has grown into a mega-hit with cumulative sales of more than 33 million units as of September 30, 2015.

Capcom also aims to continue boosting the Monster Hunter brand value with newer titles like Monster Hunter X, which will launch in Japan on November 28, and Monster Hunter Stories in 2016, both for Nintendo 3DS. There will also be the series’ first animated broadcast in Japan as well.
