Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 are working together for Project N.U., which aims to bring back the setting and concept of the .hack series. The first title from the project is called New World, and it recently got its first battle trailer.
New World is an RPG that features characters designed by Neon Genesis Evangelion and .hack//Sign character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. The game is set in the town of “Mac Anu,” where you’ll meet a girl with silver eyes who knows the secret of the world, and will awaken the protagonist’s hidden powers.
New World Vol. 1: Maiden of Silver Tears will launch in Japan in 2015 for Android and iPhone. It will be a free-to-play title.
