Best Buy Now Has A Shovel Knight amiibo Listing

Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight amiibo will be the first third party NFC figure in the line. While it has a November 27 release date in Europe, North America has yet to receive any confirmation about the collectible. However, Best Buy has become the first domestic retailer with a listing.

Best Buy prices the Shovel Knight amiibo at $12.99, the standard price for the figures. It also offers a December 18 release date. This has yet to be confirmed by the developer. Pre-orders are not yet available.

Using the amiibo in-game unlocks challenge levels in both the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U versions. There will also be cosmetic options in both. In addition, the figure is the only way to unlock cooperative multiplayer in the console iteration.

Physical copies of Shovel Knight for the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, and PlayStation 4 are now available in-stores.
