Every Friday in Japan, the Nintendo Badge Arcade is updated with a new assortment of grabbers. Today’s update is unique as it has  machines filled with icons of Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Purin, Cinnamoroll, Hangyodon, Keroppi, Badtz Maru, Kiki & Lala, and Kirimi.

This is the first time third party badges have appeared in the Nintendo Badge Arcade. Since its November 2014 debut, all grabbers have featured characters from first party Nintendo games. There are 16 machines in all, with 110 total badges of Sanrio characters. There are two Hello Kitty machines, three with Purin, two for Cinnamoroll, and one each for for My Melody, Kuromi, Kirimi, Twin Stars, Keroppi, Badtz Maru, and Hangyodon. There are also two grabbers with sprite versions of Hello Kitty, Kiki, Lala, Keroppi, Kirimi, Badtz Maru, Purin, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Kuromi, and Hangyodon.
