Windows PC Version Of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Won’t Include FFVII Aerith Schema

Square Enix has pinned down the Windows PC release date for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, the final entry in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. It will arrive on Steam on December 10. However, it will be missing the Schema for Lightning inspired by Final Fantasy VII’s Aerith.

In Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, Lightning can equip a Schema, which is a garb, accessory, shield, adornment, and abilities. This changes her appearance and grants her special skills. Quite a few of these were made available as DLC. The Windows PC version will include most of the schemata that were originally DLC in-game for free, but the FFVII Aerith Schema will not be made available. In addition, Square Enix confirmed that particular Schema will not be available.

In Japan, the Aerith Schema was only available if people purchased a Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy VII guide. In North America, it is available for the PlayStation 3 as a $3.99 additional download.  It included a Mediguard ability and healing magic.

The following Schemata will be available in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII when it comes to Windows PCs.

  • “Divine Wear” Schema
  • “Moogle Lover” Schema
  • “Ultimate Saviour” Schema
  • “FFX-2 Yuna” Schema
  • “FFVII Cloud” Schema
  • “FFX Yuna” Schema
  • “Tomb Raider” Schema
  • “Shining Prince” Schema
  • “Dark Samurai” Schema
  • “Sohei Savior” Schema
  • “Utsusemi” Schema
  • “Art of War” Schema
  • “Flower of Battle” Schema
  • “Shogun” Schema

In addition, bonus items that were tied to save data from Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be provided to players even if they don’t have save data from those games.
