Back in November 2015, Cave annd Degica brought Mushihimesama to Windows PCs via Steam. Now, the next shoot’em up from the catalog to be cleared for launch is Deathsmiles. In Spring 2016, the gothic-themed side-scroller will come to Steam.

Deathsmiles has quite a history in North America. It’s actually the first Cave shooter to make it to a console here, coming to the Xbox 360 in 2010 thanks to Aksys. It was later ported to Apple iOS devices in 2011 and released on Android devices in 2013.

In Deathsmiles, players control Gilverado’s Angels. They’re a group of young women spirited away from our world. They’re trained in the ways of magic by Count Dior and then defend their new homeland. Windia, Casper, Follett, Rosa, and Sakura, along with their familiars, use their elemental magic to defeat any threats.

Cave and Degica have yet to announce any additional or special features for the Windows PC version of Deathsmiles. For example, it is unknown if Smartphone Mode, where Tiara is a playable character, will be available. However, the Steam release of Mushihimesamaincluded Steam Achievements, Cloud, and Leaderboard support.
