Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.3 Will Bring New Dungeons, A New Alliance Raid And More

In the latest Letter from the Producer Live, Final Fantasy XIV director and producer Naoki Yoshida showed a few previews of what players will be able to look forward to in the game’s patch 3.3, “Revenge of the Horde.” Full notes from the Live Letter can be browsed through over on the Final Fantasy XIV official forums.

First off, new main story quests will be added, and patch 3.3 will include the final chapter of the Dragonsong War.

New beast tribe quests featuring Moogles and Dragons will be added.

Patch 3.3 will also add new Hildibrand quests.

New dungeons will be coming in the next patch in the form of the new Sohr Kai, which will be part of the main story, and Hullbreaker Isle Hard Mode.

A new trial was also announced, though the actual name of it was hidden and will most likely be revealed at the next Live Letter.

Patch 3.3 will see the continuation of the Void Ark alliance raid series with the Weeping City of Mhach.

Additionally, starting in patch 3.3, there will be a chance that Dragonskin treasure map will open an entrance to the Aquapolis, a new form of dungeon. Up to 8 players may enter and defeat the enemies inside to obtain various items, including materials for new recipes.

We also got another look at the Deep Dungeon, The Palace of the Dead, which was unveiled last week at PAX East. The Palace of the Dead will release with patch 3.35 player will be able to attempt it either solo or in a party of 4. Additionally, players will begin at level 1, leveling up as they progress through the dungeon. A minimum level of 17 will be required to enter.

A new Frontlines map will be added in the form of the Field of Glory (Shatter), and the rules will be similar to those of Seal Rock.
