Stardew Valley’s 1.1 Update Detailed

Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has issued a state of the update announcement for Stardew Valley. The developer is currently preparing a 1.1 update that will add a substantial amount of additional content to the Windows PC farming simulator, as well as a preparing for multiplayer, various ports, and products.

The most important takeaway is that Chucklefish is going to be assisting Barone with the multiplayer technicalities, localizations, and Mac, Linux, and console ports. A timeline for these eventualities weren’t offered. Also, Barone didn’t mention which consoles were being considered for ports, only that console ports are in Stardew Valley’s future.

This means that Barone will be focusing on Stardew Valley version 1.1, which he will be doing all by himself. In addition to making Shane and Emily marriage candidates, rounding out their characters and adding additional events, he provided a list of content people can expect from the next update.

  • More late-game content
  • New farm buildings
  • New crops
  • New artisan goods
  • New advanced farming/producing mechanics
  • More marriage content for all spouses
  • More events for the non-marriage NPC’s
  • Improvements/Additions to mining and combat
  • Ability to move buildings and other convenience features
  • More bug fixes
  • More secrets
  • More small, fun touches to the world

No release window has been announced for version 1.1. However, the screenshot shared above appears to show coffee as a new keg product and a different variety of mayonnaise.

Stardew Valley is immediately available for Windows PCs.
