Today, XSeed Games has announced The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II is set to release in North America on September 6, 2016. Nihon Falcom has completed development on the game, which is playable on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita with the optional cross-save feature. Digital and physical copies of the game will be made available at launch at a suggested retail price of $39.99.

The physical disc version may be of interest to collectors who already have the Lionheart Edition for The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel. The display box for the collector’s edition includes space for the second game in the series.

Those who have retained a save file from the first game will be granted stat boosts and bonus items when playing the sequel. Prior relationships will also carry over, and have an impact on the story and conversations between certain characters.
