Since its worldwide release back in March 2016, the Pokémon series’ first fighter, Pokkén Tournament for Wii U, has shipped over one million units globally, Bandai Namco announced in a press release.

Pokkén Tournament started out with an arcade release in Japan back in July 2015, and many fans from around the world wanted to see it on home console, and it happened with its Wii U release in March 2016. Since then it has enjoyed being one of the main titles in the world’s biggest fighting game tournament at the Evolution Championship Series 2016 last month.
